Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala

 Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatha swamy Temple is popularly known as Dharmasthala. This is a temple which is on the banks of the Nethravathi River. Temple is in Belthangadi taluk of the Dakshina kannada district in Karnataka.  Lakshadeepa, the festival of lights, is the annual festival of Dharmasthala. About this temple local peoples says that the Shiva Linga in Darmasthala by a local person by a great power, named Annappa.

                                      

                             

On an average the flow of devotees is about 10,000 people per day, and for them Annadhasoha committee will arrange food facilities. The place known for its deferent kind of social service like Mass marriage, Anna dana, Vidya dana etc. 

Kambala

            Kambala means Buffalo Race. It is conducted once in a year with traditionally. Coastal Karnataka is famous for this Buffalo race, that is nothing but Kambala. Kambala is traditionally a simple sport. And this Kambala gives much needed entertainment to the rural people. The contest generally takes place between two pairs of buffaloes in few areas, and each pair raced in wet rice fields, controlled by a whip-lashing farmer. But in some places like 'Vandaru' which is in Karnataka State, Udupi District, the buffalo race is held in a different manner. The single pair will run in the water filled rice filed and it is conducted on honor of specific god. Generally Vandaru Kambala is very much popular in coastal areas. The Kambala season generally start in November and lasts until March.

                                                          


This year Kambala started on November 15th.

Sangolli Rayanna

                                                             

             Sangolli Raayanna was born on 15th August 1798. He was a great freedom fighter from Karnataka. He is very tall person. He was the army chief of the Kingdom of Kittur at the time of  Rani Chennamma ruled time. And fought the British East India Company till his death. Sangolli Rayanna arrested by the British because he participated in rebellion, who released him later. He continued to fight the British and wanted to install adopted son Shivalingappa as the ruler of Kittur. Rayanna is a great warrior in the Kittur kingdom. He is best fighter in gerilla war idea. He is not a single person when he ready to face war, he is a unity, he is a group, or team of thousand strong warrior. British people caught him indirectly with the help of cunning people of Kittur. Unfortunately at that time British government give the hanging punishment to him. And  26th he was hanged out.
            India got freedom on 15th August, co-insistently that date is the Rayanna's birth day and  26th January is his death day and that day would become the Republic Day. Karnataka is lucky to have a son like Rayanna, Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna.

Dollu Kunitha

Dollu Kunitha is also a dance form. It is a major drum dance of Karnataka. It accompanied by singing and provides spectacular variety of skills. It is mainly a group dance form. The major instrument is Dollu. And this instrument is hung by means of a thick thread tied to hooks in the ceiling. And there should be an instantaneous beating of the Dollu. Dollu Kunitha basically very difficult dance form but the professional dancers make it as easy by their hard practice. Dollu Kunitha is old tradition of Karnataka.

                                                    

Dollu Kunitha is popular not only in the present traditional period, but also in the very oold times. It is also called as Kurubana Kunitha. Dollu Kunitha is belonging to a tribe family, called as Halu Kuruba. Dollu Kunitha is a dance form was reached by Lord Shiva to the Halu Kuruba family. Then they continued that dance to their future generation. The future generation was teach the dance to the every interested persons or group, one who wanted to learn. this Halu Kuruba tribe people are now also living in the forest area of Shivamogga, Karnataka.

Rs 1000


If I found Rs 1000 on ground, I look around my surroundings and I make sure that there is no one is watching me, and then I pick that money and put it in to my pocket. If someone watching me I simply standing over the money until they go away then after I take that money.  Then I used that money for my personal use only. Because I feel that this money is given by God for solve my financial problem. I’m positive thinker so I feel that these 1000 rupees is just a trailer given by god. If I take it then god give more opportunities like this, but if I ignore it then god never give money to solve my financial problems.

Then from that money I will purchase what I want within that cost. Or I search the good materials in online shopping apps like flip kart within that cost and I order it to buy. Or I will use that money for recharging data pack, because I have more and more work with the help of Internet like news analysis, blog writing etc.

Experiment...

     My experiment is on improving my English Knowledge, because I'm very poor in that. But I have positive hope on make me very perfect in English communication. So I decided to make experiment on improving my English  communication skill.

1st day:

    On the first day I observed many students in my class who were speaking English very fluently and I listen all the new new words and trying to understand  that words and topics. I thought that i can't speak English like my other friends but I have a little hope to do that in future.  And in the First day I did not speak. But.....

YAKSHAGANA

       Yakshagana is a combination of  dance, music,  make-up, costume, dialogue, and stage techniques with a unique style and form. And this unique style form is called as Folk theater. This is  very old and traditional dance form in Karnataka. Yakshagana is very much popular in Karnataka and mainly in coastal area and malenadu  religion.  In older days this is the main entertainment provider to the people and this is mainly conducted on honor of specific god by a family or by all village peoples together.
                                   

Yakshagana mainly had two main types:
1. Badagatittu
        Badagatittu yakshagan folk form prevalent in Northern place of South Canara. The Yakshagana group is called MELA. And in Badagatittu mela are as follows:
  • Shri Amratheshwri Dashavathara Yakshagana Mandali, Kota
  • Shri Dhurgaparameshwari Yakshagana Mandali, Mandarthi
  • Anantha Padmanabha Yakshagana Mandali, Perdooru
  • Shri Guruprasaditha Yakshagana Mandali, Saligrama. And etc...

2. Tenkatittu
         Tenkatittu yakshgana folk from prevalent in Southern part of South Canara. Tenkatittu mela are as follows:
  • Bagavathi Yakshagana Mandali
  • Mangaladevi Yakshagana Mandali
  • Kateelu Yakshagana Mandali

Following are the main Instruments:
1. Thala
2. Maddale
3. Chande
                   Yakshagana is the dance form  which is called as Bayalata in older days. This dance form is very much famous in older days. But now our new generation is no interested in this folk dance form.
